11th Content Management Day in Cologne
Once a year we meet with our users to talk about innovations in socoto CMS and MMS. This year, we once again had freshly developed tools, plugins, and editors in our luggage.
How is it possible to easily create complex, multilingual portal pages? How can digital content be used for several channels? Questions like these were addressed at the 11th Content Management Day in Cologne, which was attended by many interested users from Hamburg, Frankfurt and Wiesbaden. While the uncomfortable April weather set the tone outside, we presented our new Designer in Manager in the magical event location of Cologne Zoo, explained the many advantages of our digital module with a particular focus on addressable TV and DOOH and exchanged views on PIM, DAM and AI in a relaxed atmosphere.
CIP in web-based content management
The stage was dedicated to numerous small and large optimisations, which our specialists presented using illustrative practical examples. For example, with the image section editor, it was about optimising support for the disproportionate scalability of content. Here we have not only greatly improved the handling, but also the constant monitoring of the effects on the end product, for example an advert. Elements can now also be linked graphically, so that when a headline is selected the appropriate image also appears in a template. The many other enhancements also emphasise the CIP, Continuous Improvement Process of this central tool. Our listeners were enthusiastic, as they can now even more efficiently fill and maintain the socoto MMS for their customers.
Integrated website editor and digital module
Even if it is “only” used for your own website, also known as a portal, it has now reached the same level of functionality as its role models. The portal editor allows you to create and maintain the socoto MMS user interface and supports other features. By utilising the plugin concept, it is now also possible to use accordion, carousel, and tab objects to design the optimum user experience for the super users in the MMS. We have therefore substantially expanded the toolbox, which was very well received by our CMD participants.
The focus was also on the new socoto digital module: this allows content to be created, customised and used for multiple channels, such as online advertising, your own website, social media, addressable TV, DOOH or SEA. On-top advantage: regional media packages with interfaces to customised marketers are available for booking.
Conversations among marketing professionals
Of course, this is just a small selection of what we discussed with our customers’ agencies during CMD 2024. As every year, the CMD ended with many good conversations in a relaxed atmosphere and with the best catering. What the participants were able to take with them: many application details, an idea of what we at socoto are planning in the near future and a certainty that their work has become a little easier, more convenient and more efficient.
We love the CMD format! The Content Management Day is an important element of our customer service portfolio: it allows us to clarify any queries immediately. In addition, the feedback we receive on such a day together is incredibly inspiring for our future work.
